The Ready Rocket Charging Challenges Flashcard Deck is a physical card deck for children aged 5-12 and the adults who support them. Created by Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapists from Ready Rocket Resources, these cards are a practical, hands-on companion to The Galaxy Guide to Running My Rocket.

While these flashcards are not a replacement for The Galaxy Guide books, they are what comes next: the daily tools that keep the learning alive.

What is inside the deck:

The deck contains 149 cards across five card types, all designed around the Ready Rocket universe your child already knows from the Galaxy Guide:

• Charging Challenge cards — regulation strategies your child can try in the moment when big feelings arrive. Each card includes clear instructions and a star power rating box in the top left corner, where your child can rate how much charge the strategy gave them after trying it. Collected like Pokemon cards with the Galaxy Guide characters on the back.
  
  
• Planet Emotion cards — visual communication cards for each of the Ready Regulator planets from the Galaxy Guide. Children use these to show how they are feeling without needing words. Parents and therapists use them to check in and start conversations.
  
  
• Co-regulation activity cards — specific things to try together when your child is dysregulated. These are the OT-backed strategies that work best when done with an adult, not instead of one.
  
  
• Galaxy Guide concept cards — key vocabulary and concepts from the story, so your child can connect what they learned in the book to what they are practising in real life.
  
  
• Instructions for Adults card — included in every deck, with three clear ways to use the cards with your child.
  
  
• Parent tips are printed on the back of most card types, so the guidance is always right there.
